Groups

Jesus described his early disciples as those who would be known by their love. He said, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” As disciples of Jesus, we believe that this act of love is best lived out when we are truly connected with others in biblical community. We desire for everyone who calls York Alliance their church home to connect with others at several different levels. The groups listed below are intended to help individuals step into biblical community and grow in their walk with Jesus!

Community Groups

Community Groups are small groups of people who meet weekly in order to build up and encourage one another, care for each other and those in our sphere of influence, and reach out into the world with the gospel of Jesus. These inter-generational communities help us love the things that God loves.

Each week, Community Groups take time to focus on loving each other, glorifying Jesus, living life based on His Word, and loving the world around us. Groups with children also have a separate time for kids (called “Vine Time”) to learn to apply the truth of Jesus to their lives. Community Groups are an essential part of the York Alliance body and are one of the primary means of establishing connections.

Discipleship Partners

Discipleship Partners are same-gender groups of two or three who commit to journeying deeply with one another. Partners meet at least twice monthly to connect with one another, apply the Scriptures to their lives, and to pray together. These connections are places of both confession and repentance as well as joyful celebration.

Revive Women’s Group

Revive is a weekday Bible Study for women of all ages. It is typically a mixture of video teaching, large group discussion, small group time, as well as home study. The Revive group meets at York Alliance Church on the first and third Wednesday mornings of each month, starting in September. All are welcome!

Redemption Groups

Redemption Group is an intensive Bible-based discipleship program for men and women who desire to experience freedom from sin and to pursue a deeper walk with Christ through His redemptive work on the cross. Through Gospel-saturated study and discussion, Redemption Group aims at dealing with the issues of the heart, not the outward symptoms. The message of the Gospel is adequate in providing a solution for individuals lost in various forms of addiction as well as for those dealing with issues of anger, guilt, shame, control, depression, loneliness, abuse and fear.
